The Arkansas Chapter of NIGP (ARNIGP)

The Arkansas Chapter of NIGP is committed to providing professional development, networking opportunities, updates on legislation, assistance with attaining professional certifications, and promoting ethical standards within the public procurement profession throughout the state.

A not-for-profit association, our membership is comprised of managers of procurement professionals, procurement and purchasing directors, administrators, buyers, purchasing agents, and support staff from the public sector and governmental entities including state, municipalities, counties, higher education, school districts, transit, airports, utilities, and more.

The Arkansas Chapter's focus is the development, support, and promotion of the profession through relevant and important educational and research programs, professional support, and initiatives that benefit both our members and NIGP.

A chapter of NIGP, The Institute for Public Procurement, we strive to establish and maintain professional function and stature for the field of public sector purchasing and materials management through:

  • raising and maintaining the standards and ethics of all governmental purchasing and materials management departments, agencies and organizations
  • studying, discussing, recommending and aiding in implementation of improvements in the designated field of endeavor to obtain the optimum value of products and services without prejudice and to assure greatest ultimate economy to the users
  • the interchange of ideas and experiences and obtaining expert advice on local, state, national and international problems pertinent to this discipline.
